Ciel x Reader

You sat in the gardens at the Phantomhive manor. The flowers were all blooming and the gardener was walking around enjoying the great job he had done. You had always loved flowers and gardens. Ever since you were a little girl. But today there seemed to be something different. You seemed to be happy about something other than the flowers. You couldn’t quite figure out what that was but you were thinking.
“Madam ______.” A voice called your name and you turned to see that Phantomhive butler bowing down to you. You got up and walked over to him. The dress you were wearing was dreadfully heavy and you hated to wear it. But your father had made you before you left to come to the manor. You planned to change out of it as soon as possible.
“What is it Sebastian?” you asked. You tried to sound polite but something about him just made you feel uneasy.
“Dinner is almost ready, would you like to choose a different dress beforehand?” it surprised you when he said what was on your min but he did it often enough that you didn’t ask how he knew that anymore. His answer was always ‘I’m just one hell of a butler.’
“Yes please. This dress is dreadfully heavy. If you could just lead me to my room I can do the rest.” You gave him a slight smile. He nodded to you and turned towards the mansion. You followed after him and when he opened the door you walked through and waited for him to start leading again.
You went through several hallways up a flight of stairs and through some more hallways. You always got lost no matter how many times you came here. It was like it changed every time you went through the hallways. A never ending maze, that is until the butler showed you the way out of it.
When you finally reached your door Sebastian opened it and you walked in, him shutting the door behind you. You opened your suit case and shuffled through it. You looked at dress after dress but none seemed to please. You didn’t know why you were being so picky. Most of the time you would just grab a dress and put it on. But you finally found a light blur flowing dress that was fitted at the waist and then went out in a beautiful way. You walked to the full length mirror and twirled around. Then you grabbed a white flower and pinned it up in your hair. Your hair was drape din curls down your back. Not those tight curls but soft spirals that you could curl around your finger and it still felt real.
“Miss ___, are you ready for dinner?” Sebastian’s voice sounded through the door and you quickly put mascara on your eyes, giving them big doe eyes affect. You then walked to the door and opened it, smiling up at Sebastian.
“Yes, I’m ready. Sorry if I made you wait long.” Sebastian gave you a fake smile in return and started to walk down the halls again. This time you didn’t have to go very far. He stopped in front of two wooden double doors and opened them for you, stepping to the side to let you in. When you walked in you saw Ciel siting in his chair at the head of the table. You walked over and sat next to him.
“Hello Lord Phantomhive.” You gave him a nod and he looked up at you. One eye was covered by and eye patch and the other was an ocean blue that was dull with boredom.
“Hello Lady ___.” His reply was short and boring, as usual. You sent him a frown and Sebastian set your food down in front of you. You grabbed your fork and started to eat. As soon as you showed any sign of staying around him Ciel started to get out of his chair. You got out of yours first and pushed him back down in his.
“What are you doing?!” he yelled at you. You kept your hands on his shoulders and you leaned down to talk in his ear.
“It is very impolite to try and walk away from a guest because you no longer wish to talk. So please, sit down and talk to me, who knows, I might have something important to say.” You let go of him and sat back in your chair. Looking over ta him you smiled once again.
“Or is Ciel too much of a little kid to sit with a girl his age and talk?” you teased him. His face got red from anger but he stayed in his seat to prove you wrong. He rested his head on the back of his hand and looked at you.
“Then what have you to say?” he asked you. You pushed you food away and positioned yourself to look at him. You leaned in as far as you could and gave him a sweet smile.
“What do you mean? Aren’t I here because you asked me to be? What is it that you want?” Ciel gave out a huff and sat up in his chair.
“I invited you here because I am spreading the news. My engagement with Elizabeth is off.” You leaned back in your seat and looked up at the ceiling.
“Good.” That was all you had to say.
“What do you mean good? Most people would say that was very sad.” You shrugged your shoulders and glanced over at him.
“It was clear that she didn’t make you happy. “ Ciel seemed to think about this when a crash of thunder sent you jumping out of your chair with a scream. Ciel laughed at you as you looked around fearfully.
“What, it’s only some thunder. Did it surprise you?” he asked, still laughing, something he did not do very often. Another crash of thunder and rain pounding on the ceiling sent you out the door and running into the nearest bedroom. When you shut the door behind you, you climbed into a closet and shut the door behind you. You hugged your knees to your chest and silent tears streamed down your face. You hated thunder, it had scared you since you were very little.

-Ciel’s Pov-
I walked into the bedroom ___ had gone into and shut the door behind me. I looked around the room and herd soft cries coming from the closet. I walked over and opened the door. ______ had her knees tucked up against her chest and tears were streaming down her face. She looked up at me and whimpered when more thunder sounded.
“Are you afraid of thunder and lightning?” I asked her. I was a but sympathetic but not enough to tell her that. She nodded slightly and I held out my hand to her. She gently placed her hand in mine and I helped her out of the closet. She instantly shoved herself into my arms and buried her face in my shirt. Her hands clung to it desperately and she started to cry harder. I patted her head and hushed her.
“Come now Lady ____. There is nothing to be afraid of. Now it’s time for bed so Sebastian will show you to your room.” She looked up at me and I suddenly felt guilty. I looked away from her and sighed.
“Fine, you can stay with me. But only for tonight, do I make myself clear?” I asked her. She nodded and I removed her from me. I took her hand and led her out of the room. Sebastian stood in the hallway. I handed her to him and started to walk towards my room.
“Send her to her room and have Mey-rin help her get ready for bed. Then send her down to my room.” Sebastian raised an eye brow but bowed down any ways and put a hand over his chest.
“Yes my Lord.” Then he gently led __ to her room and I closed the door to mine.
“This is going to be a sleepless night, I can just tell”
-time skip- ( Ciel’s Room)

-Reader’s Pov-
You walked into the room and saw Ciel reading in his bed. You knocked on the door and he looked up. He motioned you to come over to the bed. You started to hesitate but as soon as some thunder sounded you were under the covers and had them over your head. Ciel laughed and you were just thankful that it was a big bed. You could sleep without having to even come close to touching Ciel to fit comfortably in the bed.
“I’m going to bed. If you plan to stay up all night then please try to be quiet.” You nodded and laid down in the bed. A flash of lightening sent you clinging to Ciel, your head on his chest and his arms spread around you. You started to back out of his grip but he held you in place.
“If you’re going to be doing this all night then you might as well stay this way so you don’t keep bothering me.” A blush covered your cheeks and you nodded.
“Thank you Ciel, I really don’t mean to be a bother but I’ve been afraid of thunder ever since I was little.” You wrapped your arms around his middle and pressed your face against his chest. He let his head rest against yours and his fingers were laced and resting on your waist. You fell asleep comfortably in his arms and Ciel found that he hadn’t slept that well in a very long time.
-Time skip- the next morning
You woke up and found that you were practically on top of Ciel as he smiled in his sleep below you. You tried your best to move off of him without waking him, but a grumble was heard from him and his eyes flitted open. You realized how pretty his eye was, he still had his eye patch on. A blush covered your cheeks and you tried to pry yourself away.

-Ciel’s Pov-
My eyes fluttered open and I saw ___ on top of me. Some of her hair was falling off of her shoulders and settled near the sides of my head. The sun was hitting her hair perfectly and she was just stunning. She tried to move away but I held her gently where she was. I gave a soft smile and raised a hand and stroked her cheek.
A blush was spread all over her face, making her even more beautiful. She stopped trying to move away when I closed my eyes again, as if to go back to sleep.
“Are you okay Ciel?” she put a hand on my face and I opened my eyes again.
“Yes. Just not awake yet.” She smiled and leaned down a bit farther.
“Want me to wake you up? I know some good recipes of cakes that wake you up really well.” I wasn’t even thinking when I did it. I brought her down to me with a hand and kissed her. She kissed back but seemed a little taken aback. When we parted for air our eyes locked.
“I love you _____.” ___ laid her head down on my chest and traced little circles on my shirt.
“I think I love you too. Just promise not to tell Elizabeth. I don’t feel like ending my life just yet.” She was joking but I knew what she meant.
“I promise.”
